The latest from Milan Fashion Week!

Milan Fashion Week's spot light is slowing coming to a close as the time for the City of Love - Paris, to open it's doors to the world of fashion is about to open. But before all of that happens, let's take a look at some of my favourite highlights from the past few days:

Dolce and Gabbana:

Dolce and Gabbana pulled out a show stopper with their Autumn/Winter 2013-14 line up! The exquisite beading, luscious lace, and beautiful prints were out of this world! The show opened with bejewelled dresses, gold crowns and long dangling gold earrings. From thigh length to shin length, and breath taking mosasic prints, I didn't think they could beat it - this was until the rest of the line up was showed! Next saw looks including grey coats, jackets, skirts and dresses, followed by black lace. Then it was time for the return of the bejewelled gold, making the models looking like Queens. The impeccable show ended with a line up of black, white and red outfits, leaving the show on as big as a high as it started out with.

Giorgio Armani:

After showcasing an amazing show for Emporio Armani just the day before, it was now time for the designer to present his Giorgio Armani line up! This show was full of velvet, sequins and sparkles from blue to black and grey to white. The luxurious line featured fully embellished jumpsuits, exquisitely soft velvet maxi skirts and the smartest of blazers around oozing with style. To enhance the beautiful collection, a lot of shapes were used - ruffles, waves of material, pretty pleats and fabulous folds to create a beautiful silhouette!

Emilio Pucci:

I loved the full fringes and long wavy hairstyles that the models stepped onto the runway with! Thigh high boots in the colours of brown to black brought the line together as most of the looks were accessorised with these fashionable footwear! Belts were also used to clinch in the waists over patterned skirts and embellished blouses. A far as the colour palette goes, pinks, blues, blacks, whites, lilac and tans (browns) were all featured in the runway show. With a sixties feel about the show, it was fun, eye catching and beautifully stylish.

Prints have been seen everywhere this season and this printed maxi dress has a vintage inspired look. With pink, grey, white and yellow all in the mix of colours, it makes it perfect for the Summer!

Stripes have been seen repeatedly on the runway these past seasons, and now it has taken it's looks to this yellow stripe panel tassel satchel bag. The colours make it fun and bright which is what Spring and Summer are all about.

Hot pink is the perfect colour for Spring and Summer as it is bright, bold and fun! These ankle grazing wool trousers, will be perfect for those days that are too warm to wear layers but too cold to wear shorts!

Milan Fashion Week latest!

Over the past few days, Milan has seen the likes of Prada, Moschino, Just Cavalli and Versace to name a few, take to the runway to showcase their Autumn/Winter 2013 collections! Take a look at some of my favourite runway looks:

Moschino:

It was the best of British at Moschino yesterday as sleek blazers, tailored skirts and trousers and horse riding hats were the key features of the show! With red, blue, black and white being the key stand out colours for the collection, there was a very tartan and Scottish feel to the looks. Also seen in the mix was a splash of monochrome, followed by a blue and red rose print as seen on model Lindsey Wixson above. To accessorise the outfits, gold jewellery was seen on earrings, handbags, and the iconic logo were seen on the sophisticated heels and riding hats.

Prada:

It's fair to say that Prada definitely hit the nail on the head for this years Autumn/Winter looks, and did it with style to the max. Oversized was key for this runway, as bags, coats and sky high platforms were presented to the fashion loving audience. With clinched waisted through the use of sleek belts, all of the looks were given a very feminine shape, ranging from skater skirts to pencil style. Also with a mix up, was the length of the skirts and dresses going from knee length to shin length. Checks, stripes, furs, flowers, wool and leather were by far the key looks on the runway, plus the design of the whole show was simply incredible.

Versace:

Donatella Versace definitely did not have the shy fashionistas in mind when creating this fabulous collection! With bold, brave designs, you would have to be a risk taker and love experimenting with fashion to pull these amazing looks off! Leather was the key look on the runway, and was taken up a notch by adding features such as studs. Also seen were military style jackets worn over the bold looks. From yellow to black, red to purple and white to sheer fabric, there was a array of bright, bold colours to add to the effect of the collection. To close the show, a line up of skin tight dresses in a maxi length, with a sheer cut out detail and a slit up the leg, along with a round the neck detail was seen.

Milan Fashion Week!

The time has come for Milan to take to the stage for Fashion Week to showcase the Autumn/Winter 2013-14 collections! Take a look at my favourite shows from the latest action in the past few days:

Gucci:

What an amazing show from Gucci! From the most beautiful purple colours, to the darkest of blacks, to fresh orange, sky blue, and natural green. Lace, leather and feathers were seen on various pieces including sharp tailored tops, silk dresses, trousers, jackets and skirts. I loved the leaf print pattern seen on the suit above. The metallic green and orange go together like salt and pepper. Dogtooth patterns and fringing were also seen on the runway and like I said at the start - it was an epic show.

Fendi:

The Fendi show was full of fur! Stripes, bold colours and ruffles were all seen on jackets, skirts and coats. With colours varied from purple to cream, black to white and blue to pink, it was by far not one to miss! The outfits were accessorised with colourful handbags, fun heels, and head pieces emphasising the long french plaits that the models were seen to be styled with. Also seen on the runway was leather just like the blue jacket above, knits, scarfs, tailored trousers and dresses.

London Fashion Week!

As London Fashion Week draws to a close, the Fashion worlds last chance to get their fix of runway shows is running out, but over the past few days, incredible collections have been showcased to Autumn/Winter 2013-14. These were my favourite:

Tom Ford:

Since 2004, Tom Ford hasn't actually done a full Fashion Show, and yesterday was the day when this was going to be broken as he presented his epic collection. From busy patterns to bright colours, there was definitely a sense of boldness on the runway. Pretty much every colour of the rainbow was seen on the catwalk as the model showcased the A/W 13-14 looks from the designer. Also seen was fringing, leather, lace, fur and the most exquisite outfits I have seen for a long time.

Burberry Prorsum:

Burberry Prorsum fed the A-list filled audience with genius fashion. By taking an alternative look on the classic trench coat, they featured heart patterns, black spots with a cream background (think a giraffe print!), leopard prints, beautiful slick and shiny berry colours, and a black shimmering feature. Also featured in the line up was body hugging knee length dress in the range of berry, black, heart patterns, crisp white, and a silver metal feature crossing the chest. Yet again, another amazing collection from Burberry!

Erdem:

(all images from British Vogue)

I love florals, so I'm kind of made for Erdem, and they pulled out another show stopper! With sheer black lace, more flowers than outside featured in their outfits, fringing fur, shimmering sequins included in the line up, the eager crowd would have been more than pleased! With colours ranging from blacks, pinks, greens, reds, whites, yellows and lilacs, it was also a very colourful show! I love the yellow, white, red and blue trouser and top look above paired with the floral fabric heels, plus the added textures seen this fashion week added an extra spark.

This geo burnout print white shirt is set to give your outfit a boyish charm with a girlie and feminine edge. Pair with some leather look leggings or trousers and black ankle boots to work the monochrome trend.

You'd have to be a fashion dare devil if you were able to pull this pink jacquard cut out strappy bralet off, but I think if you get the look right, you are bound to stand out from the crowd!
River Island, £25

You'll have the monochrome trend sorted by just featuring this black and white striped jersey top into your outfit, but to take it up a notch, pair with some leather trousers!

Add some pretty blue to your look with these snake panel pointed court heels. The beautiful colour will bring some feminine charm to your look, but to give some edge, wear with some sharp tailoring.
River Island, £50

I love this cream leather tote bag! It's smart and sophisticated yet so stylish! The soft pastel colour palette is perfect for Spring and Summer and is super spacious for all your bits and bobs.

This skirt screams Louis Vuittons Spring/Summer 2013 runway show! The big black and white squared pattern is perfect for the monochrome trend and you get a designer look for a much cheaper price.

A POP of colour adds happiness and of course brightness to your look which is what Spring and Summer are all about. I love this coral coloured floral cut out collared top with cute pearls featured on the collar!

The three Kardashian's little sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner recently released their debut clothing line with American Retailer Pacsun. I love this sleeveless open back white shirt, with floral detail on the body of the top whilst, the shoulders, collar and the chest are a sheer white fabric.
