Oh oh, red alert! Appearing everywhere on the autumn/winter 2012 catwalks, the classic red lip is back as a key trend this season, so if you have never been dare devil enough to showcase the look, now is the perfect time. It works for daytime and evening wear, just mix up the shades to find the perfect match for your skin tone. Seen at Jonathan Saunders, Nina Ricci and Victoria Beckham to name three, it seems near enough impossible to list the whole lot to you, and that just shows the extent of what a vital colour for beauty trends it is this season.

Hair trends autumn winter 2012/13!

This may be one of the simpler hairstyles coming in here, and it may just be perfectly manageable for you! Models at Carolina Herrera wore a skinny black hairband to bring a sixties glamour vibe to the catwalk.

 

The headband comes in again, but this time see's a satin band with a jewelled brooch placed delicately in the centre to give the voluminous hairstyle a ultra feminine look at Oscar de la Renta.

 

  At Jason Wu, the models appeared in a very sleek and slick look. Black latex was carefully wrapped around dominatrix style ponytails followed by a very long and straight tail.

 

 Loose and low ponytails were seen at Giles, fastened with burnt ribbons at the nape of the models neck giving them a laid back look.

 

 At Rodarte, models showcased golden stared hair pins paired with a windswept look giving their updo's a very voluminous look.

London 2012 Closing Ceremony!

This was the scene at Sunday nights London 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony. British supermodels (from left to right), Lily Cole, Stella Tennant, Karen Elson, Kate Moss, Lily Donaldson, Naomi Campbell, Georgia May Jagger and Jourdan Dunn glistened in gorgeous outfits whilst strutting their stuff in front of a crowd with viewers from all across the world, which more than likely, widened their fan base and recognition.

So who wore what!? Lily Cole wore a gold shimmer Erdem dress with gold leaf detailing, Stella showcased a shimmering gold metallic tuxedo designed by Christopher Kane, whilst Karen Elson accompanied her flamed red hair with a Burberry split leg dress.  Kate Moss appeared in a deep gold Alexandra McQueen sequined dress, Lily wore a figure hugging Vivienne Westwood gown, Naomi emerged in a gold beaded Alexandra McQueen gown and as for Georgia May Jagger, she chose a waisted clinching Victoria Beckham just above the knee length dress, and Jourdan Dunn wore a Jonathan Saunders white and gold gown accessorised with a gold headpiece.

Who says Britain can't celebrate in style?!

The 5 beauty trends that are hot right now!

This fall, we have seen many different looks popping up on the catwalk. But there are also some who are seen repeatedly over and over again, and what do you know, they become a trend! So lets take a look at the five that have popped up this season!

Go out of this world as sci-fi fever took over the catwalk. Think blues, greens and golds as references to avatar and superheroes was explored. Models at Chanel, as shown left on Arizona Muse, was seen to be showcasing bejewelled brows by couture embroiderers Lesage. But if your not daring enough to work this trend, then why not create a smoky eye look with the key colours of blue, green and gold.

As you get up in the morning and go to style your hair, think frothy and feminine. British heritage meets an eccentric texture with wispy, windswept looks. And this trend may not be that hard to accomplish as the re known British weather may pitch in and help as summer comes to an end. Pair your hairstyle with pink blushed framed cheeks.

If your having one of them days where you just want all of your hair scraped back and out of your face then this is the one for you! Its the perfect easy to wear look for any woman all over the world. Pull yours low, neat and immaculate for an elegant look.






Vampire like faces were seen this season on the catwalk with pale skin and dark lips. Think deep velvet claret lips paired with smudged eyes and chalky skin. This trend is perfect for my fellow pale skin readers as yes i said it, you don't have to use your bronzer or fake tan anymore! Summer skin in out, pale skin is in.





Smooth, sleek and straight was also seen as a key hair trend this season. Glossy and polished looks were paired either on their own, with blunt fringes or expressing the dip dyed look as seen left. To get best results, blow dry hair with a barrel brush to get a luxurious finish followed by straightening for increased glossiness. As far as where to place your parting goes, a messy, off centred parting is the way forward so just let your hair do its own thing!

The model of the moment

A Dior addict advert later and Daphne Groeneveld seems to be the model on everyones wish lists to front in their campaigns or grace the catwalk for their shows. The 17 year old's perfect pout and platinum blond hair has burst into the public eye since shooting the fun campaign.

It seems already her career has took off as she has walked for some of the most famous fashion designers in the world including Versace, Valentino, Dior Couture and Chanel. Additionally, she has also fronted campaigns for Roberto Cavalli, DSquared2 and Jil Stuart. It seems a new addiction has overcome the fashion industry and from the cheeky advert, its not hard to see why.

My new beauty obsession!

Usually i find it really difficult to find a shade to match my porcelain skin tone to a T, however with this product, the shade 'light' matches flawlessly!
