Product Review: L'Oreal Paris True Match Foundation

So the other day, I was in desperate need of foundation. Like it's name, it is the starting point (unless your use a face primer) to any artwork that is putting your slap on. Without it, you feel lost, lose confident and basically don't feel your best. It's like the saviour mask of any women's life - you completely transform once you have it on.

I found myself in the sticky situation of needing a new foundation as mine was dramatically drying my skin up (plus the cold winter weather doesn't particular help). With so many on the market and all of them promising to transform your skin and make it look flawless, I didn't know where to start when it came to making that vital decision - which one do I buy?

After searching the web like crazy, I finally came to the conclusion that I was going to give L'Oreal Paris True Match Foundation a go. And what a life changing move that was...it slipped on my skin with ease, doesn't feel heavy at all, in fact you can hardly tell it's there as far as feeling it goes, hides all your imperfection's and boasts your confidence by miles. I usually find it hard to believe that all the description's and reviews from the experts are true, but believe me, the ones you read about this product certainly are.

From me to you...all i can say it; buy buy buy!

AMA's glistening Red Carpet outfits!

The 2012 American Music Awards took place live in Los Angeles on the 18th November. With 20 well deserved awards up for grabs, it wasn't just the talented artists that everyone's eyes were on...it was their sparkling outfits. From yellow lace to gold embellishment, there sure was a variety! And like everyone, i had my favourites and these are them!

Taylor Swift

With this cream lace and gold embellishment number stepping onto the Red Carpet on the one and only Taylor Swift, it was sure to get peoples heads turning, and that's exactly what it did. The long sleeves complemented the whole outfit, whilst the silver stiletto's tied the whole outfit together. Plus i love the cute but sophisticated little up-do that her hair was delicately styled in.

Heidi Klum

Another gold number appeared on the Supermodel, Heidi Klum. I love the slight split in the left leg, the high neck, and puffed shoulders. Gold oozes glamour! She scrapped all her hair back into a tight bun to ensure that all the attention was on the amazing dress.

Carly Rae Jepson

Sparkle, sparkle, sparkle. That is what this dress is all about! The angelic baby pink colour complements her tanned skin, whilst the halterneck and the figure hugging dress creates a flawless silhouette. Carly also chose to wear her hair in an up-do to ensure that all eyes were drawn to the gown. Good choice!

As for the awards, Justin Bieber stole the show walking away with three awards: favourite album - pop/rock, favourite male artist - pop/rock and the big one...artist of the year. Nicki Minaj also received two awards by winning the categories of favourite artist - rap/hip hop and favourite album - rap/hip hop. Out come the red nails

You know it's Christmas time when you decide to paint your nails in the festive colour that is RED! With red berries, red baubles, red tinsels, pretty red glistening lights, and of course...the legendary red Santa hat, you really can't get more festive that the colour that symbolises...well actually, i hate to admit it, but i am not really sure! Which left me wondering, what exactly does the bold colour red traditionally stand for a Christmas!?

It turns out that the colour red has a major significance at Christmas time towards Religion as it represents the blood of Jesus Christ. Now, most of you out there probably already are aware of this, but me being my Blondie self was not. Oops! But now that i am aware of this, i must say that it has drastically grabbed my attention and left me wanting to know more about this eye catching colour.

This then lead on to me thinking, well surely the colour red must have a true meaning in Fashion...and yet again, it turns out it does! Red is the most emotionally intense colour as it oozes a sense of passion and love, so when you get up in the morning in a very loving and caring mood, maybe you should go for the red jeans, or the red skirt etc. Additionally, it is also regarded as a colour that draws the eyes attention, so if your looking for some attention the next time you go out, ensure to feature some splashes of red into your outfit.

So it turns out that one colour has two very different and both important meanings in two separate worlds. Who knew hey!?

Anyway...here's by big, bold and bright red nails:

I'm all for showing your personality with your outfits and that's just what this statement, angelic headpiece would do. The cream embellished beauty, gently rests across the crown of your head with delicate silver diamond's, gold lining and cream pearls featuring all across the beautiful and essential accessory for any fashion loving girl.

Riverisland, £35

If you feel like sporting a pair of grungy biker boots, but still want to hold your girlie side, then these are the pair for you! In a cool pale pink shade, along with gold buckles and studs, they still have a hard feel about them but in a much softer way.

A tank top is the perfect partner for the casual day time outfit. This one in particular caught my eye especially due to the silver stud embellished shoulder detail, as it gives the top a grungy and edgy feel whilst still sticking to the simplicity mark.

We all knew that Maison Martin Margiela's collection for high street store H&M would be epic, but i wasn't expecting this. This beautiful figure fit dress in a maxi length features a draped neckline and a photographic print of sequins across the entire dress. There isn't much more that i can say other than WOW.

The Designer Pudsey's!

It's that time of year again! Where everyone gets out their collection of spotty outfits or makes a fool out of themselves by dressing up in hilarious costumes (it's for a good cause though so it's worth it!) to raise money for Children in need!

This year, over 30 British and Internationally of the biggest designing names in Fashion have took time out of their busy schedule to create the masterpieces that are the variety of Pudsey Bear's! This includes the likes of Vivenne Westwood, Vogue, Gucci, Selfridges and many more. Last year, the talented featured designs raised over £50,000 as they were auctioned off to the public, which would definitely make an incredible amount of lives change for good!

The editor and stylist of Love Magazine told the BBC  “I was honoured to curate this fantastic collection, and have had such fun working with the designers on all of their amazing designs. BBC Children in Need is an incredibly worthwhile cause, and one which myself and all of the designers involved in the collection are privileged to support.”

With all of them taking unique and individuality to the extreme, it was also a time when the designers themselves was able to express their personalities! From Swarovski Crystals to floral patterns, metallics to leather, the designs came in with a remarkable amount of creativity!

Here are my three favourite:

Giles Beacon

Victoria Beckham

Vogue

To donate to Children in Need, call 03457 33 22 33 and tell the volunteers the amount you would like to give to this incredible cause. You can also donate online here to help make certain that every child in the UK is safe, secure, happy and allows them to reach their potential. Every single penny of your donation goes straight to helping disadvantaged children in desperate need for help from you kind givers. Thank you!

The fresh new Louis Vuitton Commercial!

If this iconic, historical, legendary monogram doesn't send your brain whizzing around with all the amazing products produced by this outstanding designer, then i would recommend you take a trip to the one and only Louis Vuitton website to check out what you are missing.

Its that time of year where the right time has occurred to present the world with brand new designs that LV has in their new collection, through (this time) a L'Invitation au Voyage themed television advert! On this occasion, it came to no surprise to me that they chose one of the most in demand models of the moment, Supermodel Arizona Muse who has appeared in editorials in British, Spanish, Italian, Korean, American, French and Chinese Vogue. The American beauty takes centre stage in a courageous yet fabulously magical and captivating adventure holding a theme of travelling. With a location like Louvre, Paris the Fashion world was prepared for a spectacular journey. The conqueror models first starts her quest by discovering a special key that unlocks the secret as to many wonders of the world - how to fly a hot air balloon! Unexpected? Yes. Remarkable? Undoubtedly. Clearly, by having this once in a life time opportunity, she grabs the offer and ventures out into sailing her very own red and white striped balloon. Then, in the words of the Fashion Phenomenon: she ‘leaves the Louvre for a far-off destination in pursuit of her destiny.’

Sounds pretty amazing right? If you can't possibly wait any longer to feed your hungry eyes, click play on the video below:

Impressed? Of course you are! There is without a doubt a clear purpose whilst this commercial was made: one, to captivate the attention of the Fashion World, two, to the showcase their amazing new collection of handbags: Monogram Empreinte, Speedy 25 Bandoulière. With sophistication oozing from the utterly gorgeous bags, it will be hard to say no. Even with the hefty price tag of £1430. But come on...it's Louis Vuitton. You know it's worth it.
