July the 11th marks the birthday of Giorgio Armani himself, so to celebrate,
we are gonna be looking back on his fabulous fashion history in the industry.
The italian fashion designer is known for his clean, tailored lines. He first
started his company, Armani, in 1975 and by 2001, he was claimed to be the most
successful designer to come out of Italy with an annual turnover of $1.6
billion and a personal fortune of $7 billion as of 2012! Result! He was also
the first fashion designer to ban models with a Body Mass Index under 18 from
walking down the runway representing his label and his clothes. As well as
this, he became the first designer to broadcast his collection, Armani Privé
Spring/Summer 2007 live on the internet during haute couture on the 24th January
2007. Additionally, he joined forces with Samsung to make the Giorgio Armani
phone. His latest collecion has been seen in his haute couture show on the 3rd
of July 2012 where he caputured the atmostphere of a strictly exclusive
masquerade ball, whilst the mood was mysterious and the creations were
mesmerising. Models silently shimmered into the spotlight wearing glittering
column gowns and exquisitely embellished veils. To watch the full catwalk

Trust me, its worth it!
